After living and working in England for nearly 16 years, I am very excited about my journey and becoming part of Melkbosstrand Private School. Previously I have worked as a Deputy Head in a Primary School in England and my wife Jonantha worked as an audiologist. We have three boys, Christiaan, Eslo and Neil.
After matriculating from Brits High School in 1991, I studied at Potchefstroom Teacher Training College. I then studied through UNISA and graduated with a BEd degree. More recently I completed an Advanced Skills Qualification in Mathematics at Canterbury University in England.
Allow me to share with you my vision and a worthwhile purpose for being a teacher, which I hope will inspire others to share it, believe in it and act on it.
Each child has the potential to bring something unique and special to our Christian school. Every child can succeed if he/she is accepted and loved. Teaching is an important and honourable occupation that demands commitment.
At Melkbosstrand Private School we take a holistic approach to education which focuses on developing the whole child with Christ at the centre of all we do.
We are committed to the partnership of all parties working together to help develop the children. Through this joint commitment we welcome new members to our school to grow and work in the love of Christ as we live out our mission statement.
Here at Melkbosstrand Private we ensure your child will be encouraged, motivated and guided so that they develop their natural gifts and talents whilst becoming confident, ambitious and independent learners who know how to make informed decisions about the choices they make in life. We believe that children must be excited to learn as well as being actively engaged in a curriculum that is relevant to their everyday lives. At Melkbosstrand Private we encourage children at all times to have high expectations of themselves and what they can achieve. It is only through this and hard work that they will reach their full potential and life goals.
I am very proud to be the Head of the Primary Faculty of a thriving learning community with supportive staff, directors and parents.
If you would like your child to join our school and grow and learn in the love of Christ, please come and visit us. By visiting our school in its beautiful natural surroundings you will see our Mission Statement in action.
I look forward to meeting you!
